Policy Shaper,
Global Speaker,
Sustainability Consultant
For two decades I've worked with world leaders, CEOs and communities to shape the response to the climate and nature crisis.
As the breakdown of these systems becomes clearer it's time to accelerate action and develop strategies for resilience.
About David
At thirteen, David Saddington had a stark introduction to the impacts of climate change when floods hit his North Yorkshire hometown - an experience that set the course for his career as a climate change activist and strategist. Since then, he's influenced UK and international policy and world leader commitments, fronted a pioneering climate media campaign that reached over 3 million people, and given a TED talk at London's O2 arena.
David most recently led international climate strategy for the UK Government, and now brings that experience to a wide range of audiences worldwide, from United Nations conferences to BBC news.
In his consultancy work, David focuses on the connection between the climate and nature crises and in his speaking translating complex climate science into actionable insights for resilience. Throughout all his work he draws on twenty years spent delivering programmes with governments and multinational corporations in more than thirty countries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Durham University Energy Institute, and serves as a UK board member for Nile Rodgers' We Are Family Foundation and the Woodland Trust.
